— a wordpress website for a grand cafe
In the centre of Asten you can find well-known restaurant and grand cafe Markt 8. Famous for their impression menu, they offer affordable yet unique dishes.
Their food looks amazing and tastes even better. Besides offering a new menu regularly, Markt 8 also organizes many big events, such as live performances and the Food Festival. How to combine all this in one classy website?

Project WordPress website
With an ever-changing menu and new events each month, Markt 8 needed a website that was easy to manage and update. Obviously there’s a key position for the events calendar. And in this day and age restaurants also need to offer their customers the option to make reservations online.
Markt 8 offers great food and enjoyable events. They strive for high quality dinner experiences for the general public. Their new modern and unique website tells the story of the restaurant, with images that show the impressive dishes and make your mouth water.
Flexibility is key
There are pre-set blocks for opening hours or for instance the event calendar. But you can also use empty blocks that can be filled in any way you want.
The order and placement of the images are flexible. The user can fully create its own pages without the risk of breaking anything in the website.
The homepage — the experience starts here
Grand cafe Markt 8 is proud of its food. The homepage shows stunning images of mouth-watering dishes. These pictures can be updated in the CMS. After a short introduction, the homepage gives a quick overview of the main themes of the website: the menu, events and opening hours.
Reservation form — customer hospitality
A restaurant website without a reservation form can’t really call itself a modern website. That’s why the reservation form for Markt 8 is accessible on every page.
Reservations are saved in WordPress and directly mailed out to Markt 8. This helps the grand café to quickly act on new reservations and create the perfect customer experience.
Easy and fun to use
A trendy and popular restaurant needs a flexible website that is easy to update and maintain. To guarantee a carefree use, this WordPress website was custom made for Markt 8. It will give them the great freedom to craft their vision on their very own website, without altering the design.
It is a big plus that Marijn both designed and developed our website. It displays his perfectionism and knowledge of the web. Everything is made custom in WordPress which makes the website, calendar and reservations very easy to manage. I would recommend him to anyone!
